We started building spirals two decades back and have vast experience in material handling along with control and automation, reinforced with different types of cooling methodology for your delicate and tasty products. Right from controlling the cooling rate, and dwell times of product inside the spiral to tension control and safeties of the drive belt we have mastered it all. The Spiral is an advent of low space. low power consumption does away with long straight belts which would have consumed a lot of real estate and more power per kg of freezing/cooling/proofing as the process may be.

The Spiral system should be built with an intelligent control system, which can prevent accidents, and food losses, and incorporate easy cleaning modes along with effective defrost systems. The spiral food machine is an automated system with very little manpower interface, which has been possible because of its AI system which measures in a PID loop various parameters like Current, Torque, tension, Frequency, Speed and gain.

The numerical code runs the system in synchronisation with utility operations, exactly to a decimal, making the moth machine gyrate around its drive, as your product moves to complete its journey in the programmed dwell time.

Product Features

Starcore utilizes efficient system control engineering to define the following:

  • Air guiding and baffling.
  • Pressurization chamber for creating turbulence.
  • High-speed, high-air volume fans with large cooling coil circuited stainless steel tubes and aluminium fins provide the right cooling for your products.
  • Frequency-controlled fans through VFDs to control air volume and temperature difference through the cooling coil.
  • Closed air circuits to control air bypass.
  • Intelligent CIP System is available on order (OPTIONAL).
  • All floor drains are welded to maintain self-draining slopes and easy access for ice/snow removal. A stainless steel floor maintains hygiene.
  • Direct belt drive through the centre drum with drum cage bars and drive bars.
  • No overdrive, slip, or belt lifting for both up-go and down-go spirals.
  • Direct drive reduces backlash, and during heavy belt load manoeuvres, each turn seamlessly.
  • Flip sensors located in each tier sense as the belt lifts more than 20 mm, thus preventing belt and wear strip damages.
  • Special drive mechanism, a feature of Starcore Spiral technology, integrates a pinwheel drive to a main gear drive mechanism to reduce power and torque requirements. No need for heavy planetary gearboxes and heavy metal stools for driving the drum.
  • Tier height suited and customized as per the product height range from 20 to 250 mm.
  • Side guards were developed to control product fans.
  • Height sensors are installed to prevent overweight products from entering the spiral.
  • Double dancing weight rollers with take-up assist, ensuring low tension first belt wrap installed and synchronized with belt speed ensures no belt lift, a very important feature for a spiral, which otherwise can stop your business.
  • Relay weight assist drives to ensure the best cluttering does not happen in down-go spirals interlocked through a closed PID loop with the belt speed, jogging with AI feed from the controller.

100, 250, 500 , 1000 , 1500, 2000 , 3000, 5000 kg/hr spiral with single or double drum configurations available for all your creations.

Can be worked with R404A / R707 / R744 A pumped recirculation systems with operating evaporation temperatures at -5 to -55 DegC.
