The consumer market is looking for easy carry of processed food which will have a stable shelf life no degradation of taste or texture, easy to prepare and safe storage without Refrigeration. Freeze drying allows to retain key nutrients keeping the taste and flavour the same even after months of storing. The food can be of any type from vegetable and fruits to herbs, ready to eat, snacks and dairy products. Fish meat and poultry and even ice creams are freeze dried and low weight of the product ensures lower shipping and distribution costs.

Freeze dryer PRODUCT AND FEATURES

  • Shell designed for lowest leakage rate in the Industry with 10 mm thick SS304 plates rolled and welded
  • Reinforcement rings are made of HDG steel to circumference the shell and provide construction stability
  • All heating plates are made of Aluminium special alloy or Stainless steel as the per the customer selection
  • The heating system is engineered for high water temperature range 130-140 DegC with control valves automated through a PLC to keep the temperature with range.
  • Radiative heating applies to each tray housed in between two plates
  • The trays are made of Aluminium alloy for high heat transfer.
  • The trays can accommodate products of various densities from 2-5 kg per tray.
  • The tray trolley can be run on a rail which loads it inside the Freeze dryer.
  • The trolley has wheels mounted on the head which glides it manually in between the plates
  • The heating system media is water pressurized and pumped through the heating plates in conjugation with a heat exchanger. The pressurization tank is made of SS304
  • The Ice condenser is located inside the Freeze dryer shell and is made up of SS304 tubes with headers and distributers. Medium of cooling used is Ammonia overfeed system at -42 DegC evaporating temperature.
  • Continuous defrosting system for the Ice condenser is also available as an option for freeze dryer.
  • The defrosting can be carried out by steam or hot water after the complete process ends.
  • The vacuum system incorporates a stage 1 and stage 2 pumps which can bring down the empty shell vacuum to 100 Pa in just 12 minutes
  • The vacuum system has a capacitance gauge to monitor the pressure decrease in the system and giving an analogue feed back to the PLC.
  • Multiple sensor are installed to view product, hot water plate, ice condenser surface temp , at various zones to sample the data and display graphical analysis .
  • Electrical Panel with PLC Intelligent controls, sensors, transducers and gauges all acquire data and display to view and control on HMI and computer interface software.
  • The rails turn stations and indexing lines are integrated for every supply of the freeze dryer, tailored for each individual site.
  • Blast freezers and freezing stations for freezing the product before loading it inside the freeze dryer

Models

Lab model 6 kg/ batch, 50 kg/batch, 250 kg/batch, 500 kg/batch, 1000 kg/batch 1000 kg/batch are available with both options, After batch defrost OR CDI defrost system Can be worked with R404A / R707 / R744 A pumped recirculation systems with operating evaporation temperatures at -45 to -55 DegC.

Service and Parts, Lubricants

All parts can be archived with part numbers and part code on our ERP system, which even after the model is upgraded is available for our customers. Customers can buy spare parts from us along with lubricants and consumables.

STARCORE REFRIGERATION LTD. was founded by Mr. Kartik Nagarajan and Mrs. Ramachandran Padmavathi in the year 2012. India was very new to the frozen food processing business, and only a few companies were able to freeze agricultural produce that would otherwise decay if not in demand or consumed.
